CRS 2.0 Start Date Update
Singapore will implement CRS 2.0 from 1 January 2027 (with first reporting in 2028).
This announcement was made during an IRAS industry consultation session held at Revenue House on 24 June 2025.
This is a very positive development, and we appreciate IRAS addressing industry feedback by delaying the implementation of CRS 2.0, moving the rollout back by a year.
CRS 2.0 probably requires a redesign of CRS due diligence and reporting processes to comply with new standards. Beginning preparations early ensures sufficient time to update your systems, processes, and procedures for the upcoming regulations.
